Community Café is a busy, vibrant space and sees up to 100 customers each week enjoying our homemade cakes, scones, breakfast and cooked lunches.
Background
The Community Cafe was set up in November 2021, when a need was seen within the Stanground area, Peterborough for a social space offering fresh homemade food and social engagement. It is run by Mary's Child in partnership with the Churches in Stanground. The Café is staffed by volunteers from the Charity, Church and Community. These volunteers give their time to make this a welcoming space, and we are so very grateful for all the hardwork they put in. We are also so very grateful to Amazon EUK5 at Peterborough who kindly send 3 volunteers on a regular basis to help when they can at the Cafe.
It is a busy, vibrant space and sees up to 100 customers each week. All we ask is for a donation as customers leave; there is no formal charge. We can be found at St Michael's Church, Mace Road, Stanground opening from 11:00am – 2:00pm every Wednesday, and every 1st Saturday of the month from 12:00pm – 2:00pm.
